History of Knitting
Emerging from the rich cultural environment of Mexico, knitting has been an integral part of textile mastery. MUAN, founded by three friends, is a tribute to this ancient craft, mixing the past with the present. Our garments, especially the ponchos, bear the hallmarks of traditional weaving, intertwined with modern design aesthetics.
Exploring Mexico's ethnic roots led to the birth of MUAN. Our journey began with a spark of curiosity and unfolded into a company that makes fabric, hats, jewelry, t-shirts and much more. By dedicating a portion of our profits to support the Wixárika community, we aim to contribute to the preservation of their lands and cultural heritage.
MUAN has developed into a brand that represents more than just fashion. It is a link between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary style, a narrative woven with each thread, embracing the heart of Mexican culture while satisfying the modern bohemian spirit. Our commitment to quality and tradition continues to guide our path forward, evolving with each stitch.
